BlackBerry baru saja meluncurkan update terbaru BlackBerry 10.2.1. Improvisasi paling mencolok di versi ini adalah kemampuannya menjalankan aplikasi Android. Tak hanya sampai di situ, ternyata OS Android pun dapat dijalankan di atasnya.
Hal tersebut dibuktikan oleh salah seorang pengguna BlackBerry Z30. Untuk memungkinkannya, pengguna ini mengandalkan sebuah aplikasi bernama Nova Launcher untuk membongkar Android yang ada dalam BlackBerry 10.2.1.
Dalam sebuah video, terlihat Android berbasis 4.2.2 Jelly Bean tersebut berjalan cukup lancar. Pun begitu, masih banyak juga fungsi ataupun aplikasi yang tak berjalan dengan normal.
Salah satu aplikasi yang coba dijalankan pada Android di BlackBerry Z30 adalah YouTube. Menariknya, ternyata aplikasi video streaming itu boleh dibilang dapat berjalan tanpa hambatan.
Namun tidak seperti aplikasi YouTube pada ponsel Android yang berjalan dalam platformnya, pada Android BlackBerry Z30 justru men-direct ke website YouTube.
Sejumlah analis menyebut kemampuan yang dimiliki OS BlackBerry 10.2.1 justru berbahaya bagi BlackBerry. Karena bukan tidak mungkin ‘migrasi’ besar-besaran bakal dilakukan pengguna Blackberry 10 menuju Android, meski bersifat tak sepenuhnya.
Sejauh ini belum ada tanggapan dari BlackBerry mengenai hal yang tengah ramai jadi perbincangan di kalangan pengguna perangkat BlackBerry 10 tersebut.
