After Xiaomi launched a 6.44-inch Mi Max smartphone, Honor is now gearing up to launch its own big screen device. The yet-to-be-announced Honor smartphone, with model number EDI-AL10, has made its first appear on Chinas certification site TENAA. The listing reveals some key features and specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
According to the images listed on TENAA website, the device will be available in gold color option. The design language of the smartphone resembles the Xiaomi Mi Max with similar camera and fingerprint set up. If the images are to be believed, this Honor smartphone is likely to have a full metal design and slimmer bezels up front.
Going by the TENAA listing, the Honor smartphone carrying model number EDI-AL10, will come with 6.44-inch QHD (2560×1440) pixel resolution. The device is powered by an 2.5GHz octa-core CPU paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. Also on offer will be 64GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB via micro SD. The smartphone sports a features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front shooter. The smartphone comes with 4,400mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
The TENAA listing comes days after Huawei had put up two teasers on Weibo about its two smartphones. While the first smartphone was believed to be the Honor 8, the second teaser had dropped hints about a 6.44-inch smartphone.
Following the success of Xiaomis Mi Max, it is speculated that other smartphone players are likely to join the bandwagon of large screen smartphones too. Recently, Samsung launched a 7-inch Galaxy J Max in India. Earlier this year, Lenovo had launched the PHAB 2 and PHAB 2 Plus smartphones with 6.4-inch display. With Honor launching its own 6.44-inch display, we are likely to see more players launching their own large screen smartphones.
